“American Soundscapes” Will Inspire the American Spirit Ahead of Thanksgiving Season
JOHNS CREEK, GA – Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra will bring a sense of pride and American spirit to the Johns Creek community with their concert “American Soundscapes” on Saturday, November 18th at 7:30 p.m. at Johns Creek United Methodist Church, 11180 Medlock Bridge Road Johns Creek, GA 30022. Joined by 22-year-old violin phenomenon and Juilliard School graduate Kevin Zhu, the concert will capture the sounds of the season just five days before Thanksgiving. This concert is sponsored by Fulton County Board of Commissioners.
From London’s Royal Festival Hall to the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing, the
internationally renowned Generation Z violinist Kevin Zhu will play alongside the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra in a concert that honors the pioneers of America’s beginnings. With an emphasis on America’s past, present, and future, this concert will feature Copland’s Appalachian Spring and other touching symphonies that tell the tales of building a nation.
“The JCSO is so excited to perform ‘Appalachian Spring’ for our audience because it’s such an iconic American composition that’s perfect for the Thanksgiving season,” said Linda Brill, Executive Director of the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra. “We are so excited for Kevin Zhu to join us. He is a brilliant young performer who will capture the hearts of our audience,” she added.
