Johns Creek, GA – The Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra (JCSO) is excited to announce the launch of its “Path 2 Podium” campaign, designed to raise $100,000 by the end of the year to support the mission of providing high-quality musical experiences for our community.

The “Path 2 Podium” campaign will directly fund all costs associated with showcasing three guest conductors, presenting a diverse lineup of music, and featuring world class guest-artists. While this promises to be an exhilarating season, it will come with increased costs. By investing in the conductor search, JCSO aims to elevate the quality of performances and ensure the future of the Symphony as a leading cultural institution in the region. This initiative underscores the commitment to enhancing the cultural fabric of Johns Creek and inspiring the next generation of musicians particularly considering its search for a new music director. The orchestra’s previous music director and founder, J. Wayne Baughman, passed away last November from cancer, and it was his dream to see the JCSO be the pre-eminent symphony in Northern Georgia.

Path 2 Podium Campaign Highlights:

-Three Maestros, One Podium: Funding will support visionary concerts from conductors Henry Cheng, Howard Hsu, and Paul Bhasin, who are the three finalists, selected from a pool of 106 applicants from around the world.

-World Class Guest Artists: Contributions will support renowned instrumental and vocal soloists including Britton-René Collins, David Fung, Tom Hooten, Johns Creek Chorale, and Bethany Mamola.

-Diverse Lineup of Music: The campaign will assist in presenting concerts that emphasize the power of human connection, the vibrancy of different music genres, and the impact music has on communities.

“This season is unlike any season that the JCSO has ever had, due to the influence of not one, but three exceptional maestros who are hoping to become the next Music Director of the JCSO,” said Linda Brill, Executive Director of the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra. “We are grateful for our community’s financial support of our music director search, as our next artistic leader will be a key driver within our organization as well as within the Johns Creek arts community as a whole,” she added.

The Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra invites individuals, families, and businesses to join us in this campaign. Donations can be made by visiting www.johnscreeksymphony.org, texting ‘GIVE2JCSO’ to 56651, or calling 678.748.5802. All contributions are tax-deductible as allowable by law. Special recognition will be given to donors at various levels, including exclusive invitations to receptions with each conductor, private events, and more.

The Path 2 Podium campaign began on November 4. Community members are encouraged to continue giving through the end of the year to pave the way for a vibrant future filled with music, creativity, and collaboration.
