Concertgoers have their choice of two different holiday performances: a sensory-friendly matinee concert for families or a classic evening holiday concert!
JOHNS CREEK, GA – Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra (JCSO) will take the stage on December 14 to perform two holiday concerts: “A Kids’ Christmas” and “Holidays With the JCSO.” New this year, the concerts will be held at Mount Pisgah Church, 2850 Old Alabama Rd in Johns Creek. “A Kids’ Christmas” will be at 3:30 p.m. and “Holidays With the JCSO” will be at 7:30 p.m.

A Kids’ Christmas
This sensory-friendly concert is the perfect way for families to introduce children to a symphony orchestra, all in a fun and kid-friendly setting that is free from traditional concert rules! Conductor Paul Bhasin will lead the orchestra through classic holiday arrangements such as “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas,” “Here Comes Santa Claus,” “Sleigh Ride” and more! Children are encouraged to dance, sing-along and participate freely in the concert. Adding to the concert’s festivities, there will be a narrator and a special appearance from Santa Claus to spread some holiday cheer!
This concert is generously supported by the Transamerica Foundation.
This concert is suitable for individuals with Autism, Alzheimer’s, dementia, other special needs, small children or anyone just desiring a casual holiday concert experience. The orchestra invites families to bring headphones and other sensory items that may help the concert be more enjoyable for sensitive individuals.
“Our musicians love performing in our ‘A Kids’ Christmas’ because we all get to put on our Santa hats and celebrate with the kids in a way that is engaging and fun,” said Linda Brill, Executive Director of the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra. “This concert is specifically designed to appeal to kids, families and our friends who are neurodiverse. Our orchestra looks forward to this treasured Johns Creek tradition each holiday season.”
